The purpose of the flaps on this cleaner are to help create a smaller and stronger suction area. This allows the cleaner to climb the walls.

Hi. When the front flap does not want to stay in place the Lower Body - AXV230DWH may need be to be replaced. Check the Flap taps to make sure that the flap fits into to the lower body and that the holes have not widened.

my navigator hose wraps around it's self. The navigator seems to be in good condition except for the front flap, which wants to stick out. I don't know if a new flap would fit the retangular holes any tighter, or if that is the problrm with the hose.

The flap might have a bad spring or the hoses might need to be rearranged to get it to stop twisting up.

The flap broke off of our automatic pool vacuum.

I contacted the order department at INYOPOOLS for a replacement flap. The customer service person knew exactly what I needed. She placed the ordered and I received it 2 days later. INYOPOOL personnel are very knowledgeable, friendly,and helpful.

Pros: Really cleans. Easy to install.

Cons: Not cheap.

My Hayward Navigator looks ancient after roughly 20 summers in the sun. It still cleans like new because the parts that wear out are easy to order and install. The Navigator is well thought out and if mine ever dies I'll get another.
