Will this fit an old Swimquip 5055? What is the correct bulb size for the 5055? (haven't opened to look because don't want to break the existing seal until I have a new gasket)

Could you tell me which side of the gasket goes out toward the pool? I am a little baffled, because I have two lights and one of the gaskets was obviously put in wrong. Thank you!

After removing the lens from the housing remove gasket from the lens. clean lens thoroughly ( i used rubbing alcohol) and replace with new gasket. Be sure to align holes on the lens with gasket holes. Also make sure smooth side of gasket is on the outside face of the lens. Reassemble and reattach.
