What is correct part no. for Jacuzzi Magnum pump. Has part no 9717 stamped into impeller. Measures app. 4.4 inches in diameter. Motor is 2 HP. Old impeller extension that fits over motor shaft 5/8" ID.

When I install the impeller with the new spring seal and bearing the impeller tightens down to the point where the motor will not turn. What am I doing wrong?
The rebuild videos are to fast and unclear.

Hi Edward, most often this is due to either the impeller simply overtightened onto the motor shaft, or the shaft seal was installed incorrectly. Remember the white ceramic side will go into the pump large round seal plate center and the spring-loaded side of the shaft seal against the rear of the impeller with the shiny black ceramic brim facing the other half of the shaft seal inside of the seal plate.
