Hi, Edward. I would recommend that you check and test all the safeties include the water pressure switch. If those are good, check the gas valve.

Range of pressure switch is .5 to 5. What is correct setting for a 2 pump, 365 gallon spa? Thanks

Hi, David. The setting will be based on the flow rate of the pump. The adjustment will have to be made as the pump is running.

my heater will pop and shoot warm burst of water then a cold blast of water. is this a bad pressure switch?

Bob, Your problem could be more than a bad pressure switch, I would recommend calling Hayward at 908.355.7995 or have a Service Tech take a look at your unit.

Wiil this part keep the hearted from starting up?

Yes a bad pressure switch would prevent the heater from starting. Other common problems which would casuse the heater not to start up would be a dirty filter or a dirty pump basket so you may want to check these as well.

Yes this would be considered a water pressure switch to some. Also it is the correct replacement for your heater.
