Is constant use of calcium hypochlorite shock(cal-hypo) bad?

Constant use of cal-hypo can lead to high levels of calcium which could result in cloudy water or scale build up inside the pump and filter as well as the surface of the pool.

We have a fiberglass pool and a salt system...our pool has a white coating wherever the water is...we don't know if it is from the salt or what...how can we get rid of it? Would scale free help us...and, would it be safe for the fiberglass?

Hi Eileen, The Natural Chemistry Scale Free 2L is safe for fiberglass pools and will work on removing scale from your pool surface. It will be a slow process but will work. Then you can use it as a monthly application to prevent scale from forming,

Hi, The Scale Free and the Stain & Scale do the same thing but the Stain & Scale is more so for the commercial pool industry is more potent than the Scale Free.

We drained the pool and scrubbed the walls with muriatic acid. It looked much better. Now I use Scale Free every month as directed for the size of my pool. It has maintained it so much better than previously and allows the beautiful blue color to come through.

We live in an area of California where we have extremely hard water. This product controls the scale and hard-water build up on our high-gloss pool tile, so we will continue to use this product.

Scale Free is an excellent, safe product that rapidly removes scaley calcium buildup around the pool's perimeter and thoroughly cleans the salt sytem generator. Put in, lightly brush as may be necessary, wait a few short hours and jump in.

I started using Scale Free about two months ago. It eliminates hard water problems and makes pool care a simpler process. Now when I get my water tested all the hard water chemicals are gone and, the hard water line on my tile is fading away. Great product if used regularly.

I received this product as promised. Fast delivery and as too fast request for what you think about a product. I have not used it yet as pool plaster is still curing. This was recommended by pool company to help prevent mineral stains on the plaster quartz pool finish.

This stuff really works. My pool had a calcium stain at the water level caused by hard water. I scrub the majority of off with pumice stone then followed the instructions of the Scale Free. No more staining and my Salt Cell seems to stay cleaner too.
