I'm ordering the Variable Speed Pool Pump 1.65 HP - PL2605. I have 1 1/2 in piping. Is this check valve compatible with this pump?

Hi, Yancy. This check valve can be used in conjunction with the Prime VS Pump. FYI, the pumps operating rpm's can prevent the valve from staying open.

    Not sure I understand your reply. I have a 1 HP pump and I’m pretty sure check valve is bad. Primer bowl empties quickly after turning pump off. Not sure if I need 1/2 lb or 2 lb spring. How do you determine that?
