I have a variable speed pump that runs at low RPM most of the time. This reduces check valve flow and causes spa waterfall to run at a trickle. Would the 2 lb spring pressure be too much to overcome at low pump speeds? Is a 0.5 lb spring available in this model?
Hi, Tim. A 2Lb check valve can be too strong for a variable speed pump running at low rpm's to engage completely. A 1/2 lb spring check valve will require less water flow than the 2lb.
I was told I need a Pentair 2" check valve 263042. is this it? Also need Hayward tank adapter de2400pac2cs. Do you have one?
Hi Gretchen, this particular valve is not the Pentair 263042 Check Valve however we do carry the Pentair 263042 Check Valve. We also carry a Generic Version of the Pentair 263042 which will save you some money. For the Hayward tank adapter part # of de2400pac2cs can you double check this number as this is not showing as a good prat # with Hayward, please email us back with what you come up with.

Awesome check valve - appears to have much less restriction than the cheap hardware store check valves. Also very nice that you can see the water flow and repair if needed. And as a side benefit - if you happen to glue it in the wrong way, you can always disassemble and turn it around.
