This kit raises ladder to reach deck heights from 55"- approximately 66". Kit includes two extension boots, one additional ladder tread, hardware, and instructions.

Will the extension lower the weight limit?

According to the manufacturer the extension kit will not lower the weight limit.

Can I use these extensions for adding rail height?

John, Using the Extension Kit for 6100B will increase the height of the ladder in which will also increase the rail height.
