Bill, yes you can walk across these covers. When installed properly it is rated up to 2,200 pounds.

how long are the concrete anchors/tubes and what is the diameter of the masonry bit to be used to drill the hole?

bit is 7/8" (slightly bigger than for standard anchors) for pavers and typically they use a coring bit for the brick pavers.
