REPLACEMENT COLOR CHANGING LED POOL & SPA LIGHTS
PureColors replacement LED pool & spa bulbs offer seven solid colors, and nine light shows that can instantly transform your pool area into a color-rich paradise. The Pure Colors bulb uses an Edison screw in base, so they install easily into your existing fixture in just minutes. Plus, LED technology makes them the most energy efficient and longest lasting bulb on the market.
What's the difference between the PureColors V2 bulb and the Standard PureColors bulb?
I read that the Red color puts out 850 Lumens, How does the 35w model compare to a 300w incandescent (white) in Lumens output? aka will it be bright enough? Also, Is 12v considered to be safer than the 110?
Will this work with my light (see image). Also, which Gasket do I need? What is the difference between PL5858 and PL5859?
From the description, seems as if this will work. Just confirming this is the correct bulb for a Hayward SP0583 Housing
Hi, I have a older pac fab pool light model 60-XX5X. I would like to know if this LED light will work with my housing? I have measured the light bulb dimensions provided on your site and compared to my housing and it looks like it would fit. If you feel as though it wouldn't work could you suggest another LED color changing bulb available on your site that would?
Hi, Scott. Unfortunately, none of the LED bulbs we have listed have been tested in older fixtures like yours.
Would the PL5859 120V 35W Pool Color V2 fit in my SP-540-Z-I LG? my fixture housing has a bulb type of R40 with a Fix. Mod. SP-543-L
I have 2 lights in my large pool that are set on a timer. If I opt for the LED color lights they will be powered on automatically as I would just be replacing the bulbs. What are the odds that the light colors on 2 separate light fixtures would have the same light pattern(color rotation)?
Hi Allen, As long as the lights are on the same circuit (i.e. turn on and off together), then yes the two lights will synchronize together. I like these lights as when you power the light on and off quickly then you cycle through the various color shows. When the light is powered off for more than 15 seconds then the light has memory so the next time the light is powered on then it will come on in the last color show you selected. For example say you like slow color fade, once your timer cuts off at the end of the night the next time the timer powers the lights on than the color show will start up in slow color fade.
Will the color changing bulb come with a remote to change colors or does a special wired switch?
Hi Allen, There is not a remote for this light, the light is simply controlled through a standard light switch. When you turn power on and off to the light then the light cycles through the various colors. No special controller is needed.
What's the difference between PL5809 and PL5859?
The PureColors V2 uses a higher quality material for the bulb housing meaning longer bulb life. The new housing design on the PureColors V2 means lower heat dispersion resulting in longer bulb life. Stronger base screw-in base
Is this controllable by a Jandy RS8 automation system, i.e. is it Pentair Intellibrite 5G compatible so I can control the colors via the automation rather than by toggling the power on and off?
Hi, Peter. This bulb can be controlled by a Jandy RS8 by turning the light circuit on/off using the RS8 remote.

Screwdriver, Pliers, Wrench Set
It was easy. Just using a few common hand tools removed the light housing, removed the lense and gasket and swapped out the bulb for the new LED. Reinstallation was just as easy.
The pool was transformed at night, the deep blue color is my favorite. Pool really looks spectacular at night.
(5 out of 5 stars) We Love the Lights

The pool is white plaster 34’ x 16’ We have one pool lamp and one spa lamp. We give the lights a 5-star rating. We love the lights. The lights were delivered quickly and the installation went very smooth. We easily and quickly ran through all 16 programs by simply flipping the light switch on and off. Our favorite is fixed color blue. Please see attached photo of the pool and a street view photo of the front of our home - you can see a hint of blue reflection on the house behind the wall.
Response From INYOpools.com: Thank you for the comments, Jeffrey, and love the street view photo!
(5 out of 5 stars) Do it Now!

Absolutely love it! Changed out both the spa and pool lights for LED. Don't second guess it, do it now. I chose this route instead of replaced the entire housing. The replaced housings by Pentair, etc. are nice I'm sure, but these LED bulbs work perfect. Pool is approx 15,000 gallons with the light being at the deep end of the pool. This is also a Tahoe Blue pebble bottom and looks absolutely amazing. Install was pretty simple, took about 2 hours to do both the spa and pool. Definitely replace the gaskets, yours are likely destroyed like mine were. See below photo for an example. This picture is on a blue LED setting and makes the pool glow. Don't wait, add it to your cart!
(5 out of 5 stars) Love the versatility of the light and 16 programs

We just completed a new pool refinish and it was a good time to change out the light while the pool was empty. Pool size: 28' x 15.5" Pool finish Diamond Bright Marlin Blue. One single light at the deep end of the pool. I would give this Pure Colors Led Light a 5 Star rating! Overall review, we love the versatility of the light and 16 programs you can choose from. The light show is wonderful to watch. The LEDs throw light very well to the other end of the pool, with the exception of the red LEDs, which I believe has to do with the red color wavelength. I would recommend buying up to the 35-watt bulb for a little more money for better overall lighting. Along with the energy saving Led bulbs, which will reduce substantially my operational costs, I feel much better about leaving the pool light on longer. This bulb was installed in an American Products pool light, Model R-100 BC, replacing an old GE 12v 100 watt pool bulb. I would recommend an extra hand compressing down the new gasket as you re-screw in the clips along the rim to prevent cross threading the screws at a slight angle. Other than that I would consider this an easy install for someone who would like to save a little money and DIY. At the local pool supply store, a similar Led Pool bulb would cost me about $300.00, not including the cost of install. Thank you Inyopools.com for all your helpful information and product pricing to make my project possible.
(5 out of 5 stars) Grand kids love the light show.

6/19/18 - Purchased this a couple of weeks ago while having my pool re-plastered with a blue glass aggregate. Kind of pricey but worth it. After talking with the INYO rep this fit my 27yr old Amerlite fixture perfectly. Works as advertised. The grand kids love the light show. Colors reflect off the aggregate. So much better than the 500w bulb I used to use. Make sure you change the gasket when changing your bulb.
