Is it possible to replace the light housing while using the existing electric cable?

You cannot use your existing light cable.  You will need to pull the new cord through the conduit on the new light.

Check the power supply; verify that the breaker in the breaker box and the light switch are in the on position, if all is okay, the bulb maybe blown

does a light bulb come with this fixture or do you have to buy it separate?

A 120-Volt 500-Watt bulb is included and pre-installed in the light fixture by the manufacturer.

How long should the light fixture last. My salt water pool was completed the summer of 2012 and rusted out at the end of the summer last season.

Hi, These unit does not have  life expectancy. If you have a salt water pool you should have a Zinc Anode to prevent rusting.

I need to replace my Wet-Niche Type pool light. Fixture Housing Model SP 583-L. The light fits a fixture housing model SP-600 SP-607. the fixture says 500 watts, 120 volts R-40. There is another number on the pool light fixture that I cannot read clearly. It looks like Number P9?534. Is the Pool Astrolite listed above the correct replacement? My cord is approximately 15 ' long.

Hello, I need to replace whole pool light fixture. Our old light fixture shattered to the water so I don't know the fixture or niche model. I only know it is 120V. How can I select the correct model? I think the fixture was kind of copper, but I am not sure. I don't know if it is a good idea to have the copper exposed to water chemicals. Please advise with your recommendation. Thank you.

Hi George, Without the model of the niche or model of the current fixture the only other way is to send us photos of the fixture along with measurements.

Hi, Looks like this will replace my SP-583-L 500W 120V so if that is the right replacement what kind of zinc anode do I need to use since I have salt water pool? And should I get one for the shallow end light as well--we just converted to salt. Thanks, Chris

Hi, Chris. You do not need a zinc anode since this fixture has a plastic face ring.
