I have that horrible zeosand in my 18" sandman filter now, how do I remove it and put regular sand in the filter? Do I vacuum it out with a shop vac/
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/19/2015 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Shirley, Once you've drained all of the water out of the filter, you can use a wet/dry shop vac to remove the old sand out of your filter.

All of the hoses on our new Sandman filter are 1 1/2", but the fittings on the valve are 1 1/4". The two cannot connect with a clamp without leaking much water. Are we missing a connector or something?
 Reply

A  Answered on 7/3/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Alex V.

Carol, Typically, the hose adapter would be 1-1/4" then increase to 1.5". Are you pushing the hose all the back on the hose adapter?

I have a sandman NE 6150 and the 6 way valve lettering has faded and is so hard to read already. Can you post a picture that I can see so I can make a copy to paste on my pump?

Hi Dan, This system does include (2) 1-1/2" 6' Hose that will connect the pool to the pump and the filter to the pool.

I want to purchase this , my question is....the diameter of the hoses on my intex sand filter are much bigger almost 2 1/2 inch will this make a difference on flow to my 24foot by 52 inch pool
 Reply

A  Answered on 8/12/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Stacey M.

Hello Jeff, Yes this will effect your flow going from what you have which is a 2 1/2" down to a 1 1/2", but it is sized properly for the pool so it shouldn't effect anything else.

why would my pump once turned on shut itself off
 Reply

A  Answered on 9/16/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Alan M.

There could be a few reasons the pump shuts off. It could be because the motor is overheating. It could be due to an electrical short. It could be due to a bad run capacitor. What ever the case is, it is likely you would need to replace the motor or capacitor.

Hi, Steve. We will need to know how far away the pump is from the pool and if you have an automatic and the model or manual vacuum in order to ensure the system we recommend provides adequate suction.

Water is leaking out of the backwash/waste line when the valve is in filter position. I have tried several times to switch positions to get it to stop.

This is usually a sign that the spider gasket inside of the multiport valve is going bad. We may carry that one for your valve but we would need to know the specific model of that valve in order to cross-reference that for you. You can call in with that info or if it is not legible then you can always email a few pictures of that valve to upload@inyopools.com so we can try and identify it for you.

Hi, Carol. If you're not rinsing out the filter after backwashing, sand will get back into the pool.

Hello, Yes, you will need to change the shaft seal, housing o-ring and diffuser o-ring.

Being that your pool is approximately 15k gallons, I would consider something like the model SAS-ABG-TL or the model PL7770.
