Unfortunately no. Auto anti freeze is a toxic chemical that is harmful to humans and animals. You will want to use pool anti freeze which is non-toxic. You will need 1 gallon for every 10 feet of pvc.

my pool is 14 by 26 with a bump out of 3 ft for steps on one side

Hello Elizabeth, just to be safe I would order the PL7946 which the pool size is 16x32, but the cover size is 21x37. It's just to cover all bases when you are accounting for steps and you need a little more room to put water bags on the cover.

My pool is 14' x 30'. Would the 14' x 28' still be the proper size to use?

Does the cover float on the water or do you need a safety cover underneath it?

Hi Michael, these covers will sink if enough water gets on the top of them so water tubes are recommended to be used to secure them and you do not need a safety cover underneath them.
