I currently have a PF1102T installed, but it needs to be replaced. I'm confused about which specific piece of pool equipment I need to look at to determine whether I can use the PF1103T instead. What confuses me is that while both the 1102 and the 1103 say they can be used for 120/240 v, and while I think I understand having to wire the neutral if I get the 1103, I don't understand the part of the 1103 instructions which say "Both models are designed to operate either on 120 volt or 240 volt, 60

We spoke with our Intermatic sales rep. and he stated that the 1103 model is designed to accomodate 4 wires - 1 Neutral, 2 Hots & 1 Ground and the 1102 is designed to accomodate 3 wires - 2 Hots & 1 Ground. Intermatic stated that you should be able to look at the wires going to your pump or the wires going to your breakers to determin if you have 3 or 4 wires. Thanks!

I have an PF1103T model thermostatic pool timer and the thermostatic function has stopped working during the cold snaps that we have been having here in south Carolina. But I can turn the knob manually from the 32 degree setting and go upward towards the 35 degree setting and the pool pump will kick on. What do you think is my problem and how to fix it? My timer is only 4 years old.

Hello Larry - It sounds like the thermostat may have failed. Part number 178T24 is the replacement thermostat.

Is this unit hard wired to the pump and to the power or is power plugged into an outlet?

Hi Craig, The power has to be hard wired to this timer and also hard wired to the pump.
