My pool pump motor indicates V115/230. Will thistimer accommodate the pool pump? Also,can you tell me the voltage on the clock motor?

Your pump can be wired either 115V or 230V If you have your pool pump wired at 230V than you would want to go with the T104P3 timer if you have the pump wired at 115V than you would want to go with the T101P3 timer. T104P3 timer has a 230V time clock motor and the T101P3 timer has a 115V time clock motor. The T104R3 or the T104P3 are direct replacements for any T104 timer. The only difference between these two timers is that the T104R3 comes in a metal enclosure and the T104P3 comes in a plastic enclosure.

How many on/off devices come with the unit? I am using this for my eletric hot water heater, I want the heater to come on around 5:00AM and off at 7:00AM, then on again at 5:00PM and off and 7:00PM. So I guess I'm asking can I program two on and off's or do I have to buy something else?

This timer comes with one "On" tripper and one "Off" tripper but can accommodate up to 12 On/Off positions. After install of the T104P3 all you need to do is pull the round yellow metal portion of the timer out, while holding rotate it until the proper time is pointed at by the metal handle/arrow pointing downward and then push it back.

I have two pumps, filter and pool cleaner, to operate with a timer. Will it take two timers? The cleaner pump can not operate unless the filter pump is on. Can I do the wiring?

Hi Bobby, You can use one timer if you want the two pumps to work in synch with each other and the max amp load does not exceed 40 amps. If you know what you're doing then you can if not I would consult with an license and insured electrician.

Inground pool filter timer intermatic 220 volt doesnt work ,although pump works with off/on switch.Its dial rotates with time,but doesnt control pump .
It all happened after short circuiting in a new pump wiring.It seems besides damaging pump it has damaged timer also.Can timer be repaired ? or only to replace with a new one !

Hi, It sound like you may need to replace the On/Off Trippers or the Intermatic Timer Mechanism Only 220V (T104M). I would also recommend that you get a licenses electrician to look at the your setup.

I have this timer, but am thinking about buying a variable speed pump. I also have a salt system can I wire the pump from this timer to get power all the time because the VS pump has its own timer and wire the salt system to turn off and on when the pump turns on. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi Christopher, You can wire the pump to the timer and remove the trippers so that it has power all the time. The salt system will run once the pump actives the flow sensor.

No you would not need to replace the entire timer, you would just need to replace the T014M Timer Mechanism

pump is rated 115/230, 1 1/2hp. How do I tell if wired 115 or 230, to determine whether t101p3 or t104p3 is correct? I just received the t101p3 but not sure if right size.

Hi, Ron. You would have to check the leads coming from the breaker using a volt meter. If you have only 115 volts coming from the breaker then you would need the T101P3. If both leads have 115 volts each then you would need the T104P3.

I have a Pentair Ultratemp 110 heatpump. Can I put this on a T104 tiger? Max amps is 42. It’s currently on a 50amp breaker. Looks like the manual for the timer says max 40amp per side. This would only draw max of 21 per lug.

Hi. The issue could be the motor, you can either replace the Time Clock Motor - WG1573-10D or the entire T104 Mechanism - T104M.

I have a 2 timer , 220V intermatic (T0404R (?)) timer controlling my 2 speed pump. I turned on the pump via the timer, and get a constant Humming sound from the timer. I disconnected the motor, and still get the hum at the timer. Should i replace timer? also, the Circuit breaker has 2 pairs of breaker feeding timer, and 1 breaker is not fully "clicking" on. Is it possible this is reducing the current and causing the hum?

Hi Rob, Normally this happens because of a bad Timer Tripper I would suggest purchasing some new Pool Pump Timer Trippers. You could also try swapping the on tripper with the off tripper and then you would see the opposite occur if you had a bad tripper. For example, your timer would not turn your pump on but it would turn your pump off.

Hello Jim- This Intermatic Timer 220 Volt Plastic Enclosure - T104P3 will only allow you to program one 24-hour schedule. We do not have anything that would allow you to program different schedules for different days.

I want to apply power to a new heat pump (220VAC single phase) and also to the pool's filter pump (110VAC) at the same time. Is this the correct Intermatic product? Seems like I can use it for switching on/off the 220VAC to the heat pump and just grab one leg of power from the timer to run the 110VAC filter pump.

Hi, Mike G. This timer will not be able to control a heat pump and pump. Heat pumps do not require an on/off timer because they're equipped with a water pressure switch that will turn the unit off/on when water flow is detected. You will need the Intermatic Timer 110 Volt Plastic Enclosure - T101P3 to control your pump.

I have a 1.5 horsepower pool pump and looking for a timer. from the picture, it doesn't appear that installation is as simple as plugging the pump into the timer..is that correct? does it take an electrician to install?

Hi. Correct, it is not as simple as plugging the pump into the tirmer. The pump will have to be hard wired to the timer. Check out these following How To Install an Intermatic T104 Timer and How to Program an Intermatic T100 Series Timer guides for installation instructions. If you feel that you're unable to complete the job, you can higher an electrician.

Please see photos attached and let me know if Model T104P3 is the correct exact item to replace the one I have. I believe the timer is the only part it need because you can hear it running but the clock portion never moves. The one we have is a 24 hr dial time switch. Is this a 24 hr DPST? Can you purchase just the timer part without having to replace the entire box? Do you sell just the part needed?
