What is the warranty period on this heater? Does the manufacturer honor warranty if product is bought online through Inyo?

Hello. The JXI400N offers a 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty when installed by a Certified Pool Professional.

Hi, Roger. The JXI400NN model does have a cupro-nickel heat exchanger, we do not have that model listed.

Heater will not lite. Try to and you can smell gas and evevtually light flashes ignition lockout

Dennis, It sounds like the unit's ignitor is bad not igniting the gas.

Does this heater include the Jandy bypass feature - I believe it is called Versaflow? If not what is needed to add that to the heater models you sell?

Hi. This heater does not include the VersaFlo Kit. You will need to order model # JXI400NK

Gas piping installation must be in accordance with the latest edition of ANSI Z223.1 and all local codes. In Canada, the installation must be in accordance with CAN/ CSA B149.1 and all local codes that apply.Have your installer review Section 4. Gas Connections 4.1 Install Piping and Check Gas Supply

Trying to fix a JXI400 Pool heater. Does not start. Flow is ok, The fan won't start so I'm guessing the fan start capacitor is bad. Does that sound right. Do you have a diagram to show how to get to the capacitor? I don" think it's the ignitor since the fan does not initially start and then shut down with a fault showing. Thanks

John, yes, the issue that you are describing with your Jandy Pro Series JXi Heater 400,000 BTU NG - Elec Ign - JXI400N sounds like a bad start capacitor. I apologize for the inconvenience, however, we are unable to troubleshoot these units or advise on servicing. We suggest contacting the manufacturer directly to get the answers to your questions. I need to replace the heat exchanger on my JXI400 (freeze killed it). Are there instructions on how to do this?

Good day, yes this would be the correct replacement exchanger. At this time we do not have a guide for this model on how to do a replacement.
