My IC-15 is not producing clorine if the two speed pump is on low speed. I was told it would . Now they say it is not suppose too. My filter is clean and it works great on high speed. I have a cartridge filter. My question is should it be producing on low speed. I know it did last year. The system worked about 6 weeks last year so it is new. Thanks

Charles - It is a case by case basis on whether or not the Intellichlor will work on low speed. Try removing the cartridge from the filter. With the lid on the filter, run the pump on low speed and see if the Intellichlor works. If it does, the cartridge is the problem and it needs to be replaced or soaked in a filter cleaner.

Hi Mike, If you need the power center only for the IC15 then you would need the 520556 Pentair Intellichlor Power Supply Only.

My IC15 is giving me the light that flashes green and says inspect cell. ????? I took it off and looked at it and it appears fine. Should I clean it and if so with what?

Hi Ricky, You can find the cell procedure on page 22-23 in the Pentair Intellichlor Installation and User Guide.

I currently have an IC15 that has reach 10,000 hrs and has flashing cell light. I have cleaned the cell but it is still flashing, therefore not producing chlorine. Our pool is 12,000 gal. Does the cell need to be replaced? If so can I upgrade to an IC20 and use the same power supply from the IC15?
Reply
Yes, you can use the same power center for the ic20.

i have an ic15, when the pool powers on, the leds on cartridge turn on and then they go off, therefore it does not produce clorine

That would mean it is a bad cell and you would need to buy a new cell.

Can I use the Pentair 520556 IntelliChlor® Power Center with a Intellichlor IC15 cell. I use a IC20 in my 800 gallon hot tub and it has gone out

Hi, Rick. The IntelliChlor Power Supply 520556 can not power the IC15 Cell, you will need the IC15 Power Supply - 521171.

We have a 1000 gal spa, would the IC15 be able to handle this or is it too small amount of water for it?
Reply
Hi, Charlie. The IC15 System would be too large but can be used to sanitize a 1000 gallon spa.

Hello, The Pentair Chlorinator for my small salt pool has electricity but the lights do not come on. Is there a common reason so when I try to get it repaired I am somewhat educated about what is needed and approximate costs?

Hi, Cindy Bishop. You will need to check and or replace the 1A 250V Fuse - 10010.

I just purchased the IC 15 Pentair intellichlor to replace the existing one on the system I have for an inground pool since it does not make any Chlorine anymore.
The power pack is a bit different than the one I have now and looks a bit larger. My question is do I install the new power pack with the wires on the botton or facing up since the label is placed so it looks upsidedown?
The new power pack says it is for the ic 15 unit.
Thanks R.J.

R.J., The power pack should be installed with the wires facing down.

Hi, i have the Intellichlor IC15 and my power pack is blowing fuses one after the other, I replace the fuse the power and green lights cone on for a second and the fuse blows. is my power pack pooched ?

Hi, Marty. The only thing I could think of it to have you check the transformer. Also, make sure you're using the correct type of fuse, 1A 250V - 10010.

We have had a Pentair IC15 for our 10000 gal in ground pool since May of 2015. No problems until now. Pump running fine, flow is good...but now no lights at all on IC15. I don't see a place to check fuse. Recommendations?

Hi, David. There is a 1A 250V Fuse - 10010 that goes to the IC15 power supply that you can check. It's located right above the power cable port on the power supply. Also, check to make sure you have input power.

I have a IC20 and I think it needs replacing. My pool is only 5,000 gallons, so I want to buy the IC15 but can I use my existing power supply or do I have to install the power supply that comes with the IC15. I could not find where I could purchase the IC15 cell by itself, it always comes with a power supply. I would rather not have to install a new power supply. I read the above questions and answers and opposite answers were given to this question.

The IC15 cell is not sold by itself - part# 520888 includes Includes external power supply & the Cell and control panel in one

I know the IC15 cell is not sold alone. That was not my question. My question was do I have to install the power supply that comes with the IC15 cell or can I use my existing power supply that was installed to work with my IC20 cell.

My IC20 cell just went kaput. My pool is only 9000 gallons. Can I use an IC15 and does the power cord from the IC15 fit my existing Power Center.

Hello Mark, unfortunately, the IC15 cell is not compatible with your current power supply as it is designed to work with the IC20, IC40, and IC60.
