Is this the proper fixture to replace an old American Products 120V, 500W pool light? The old product number is N-181374. And it is a wet niche and under water type fixture. Thanks for any input.

Dave, Yes this will replace your old American Products light fixture, just make sure the 30ft cord is enough. Aslo a wet niche and under water type fixture.

Does the pool light come with the bulb installed - ready to install?

Hello, Dave. Yes, the light bulb is installed in the fixture of the Pool Amerilite 500 Watt 30 ft. Cord 120 Volt PART# 78454100. It is ready to be installed and wired in.

Does this PART#78454100 replace the obsolete Pool Star H-735953 model PLH-100-3? Also, The Pool Amerilite 500 Watt 30 ft. Cord 120 Volt is confusing me because it says 50 ft cord length under product description. What is the actual length from the fixture to the end of the cord? My actual cord length is 25 ft on the existing fixture.

Hi Jay, It depends on the niche that you have. This light comes with a 30 foot cord.

I currently have a Pac-Fab Model 60-XX5X 500W fixture, which I believe is not available anymore. It says it is mounted in an L-260876 wet niche. What would be my replacement fixture for that?

Hi Scott, your Pac-Fab light was discontinued quite a while back, but this Pentair Amerilite is a replacement for your Pac-Fab light and will fit into the niche which is currently in your pool wall. So this light will do the trick for you.

will the 79206700 large niche...fit the Amerilite 78454100 fixture into it..will it also be compatible with the Guardian Silcone Lens LPL-G-P

Yes, that fixture will fit the Amerlite and that lens gasket would be the one for that light fixture.

Is this light ok to use in a salt pool or are their more saltwater specific models

This is an excellent light to be installed in a saltwater pool. The saltwater would have no negative effects on this light as the components are in a sealed housing.

I am looking to replace a 2003 vintage pentair pool light, 98747600, 500W , 30 foot cord, with an LED pentair light fixture. The old light fixture has a leak and I want to replace the whole unit into the existing niche. Which LED light unit would I use?

Good Afternoon Ken, You have a few options based on price and if you want standard or color. With you saying it is 500w I am assuming the light is 120v and you will need to confirm this. I would recommend The Intellibrite 5g 120v 30' Color LED Pool Light - 601000 for color and the INTELLIBRITE 5g POOL LED WHITE 300W 120V 30' for standard white. You have more options available to you. Hi, Ed. The Intellibrite 5G 12v 30' Color LED Pool Light - 601010 is the best replacement for the Pentair Amerilite - 78454100 based on your request.

Do you have a replacement for a Pool Star light model PLH-100-3? It is about 50 years old and sits in a metal niche. Thank you.

Hello Ed- The Pentair Amerlite and the Pentair IntelliBrite LED Light can replace your Pool Star. You would just need to know the length of cord and voltage.

I have a PAC Fab forming shell #0123XX,6515,VN50-X with a PAC FAB Model #011990 light. I want to replace it with an LED light. What is the correct model?

What is an equivalent 120V WHITE LED substitution for the Pentair 78454100 without having to replace the gasket/niche? I noticed you had recommended the Intellibrite 5g 12v 30' Color LED Pool Light - 601010 but I need something that is white and doesn't require a transformers. Our pool light is in great working condition, but consumes too much power as it stays on with the building lights all night.

Hi again,
Previously I asked what the 120V LED counterpart is for the Pentair 78454100 without having to replace the housing/niche. You had suggested the Pentair Intellibrite 601300. Now I'm more interested in going with the 12V DC version instead. What part number is required and what transformer is required to replace this? Could you please link me to these parts on your site?

Hi, Gevork. The IntelliBrite White LED - 601305 and one of these Intermatic Transformers depending on how many lights will be used will be the 12V option.

I have an old Anthony light with a bad cable. Can I replace the face ring assembly on this light with the Anthony face ring and gasket so I can use it in the same niche? I know it would probably void the warranty but at this point I don't have much choice. The Anthony face ring assembly is still in good shape. I've attached pictures of my old Anthony light.

Hi, Ed. You will need to provide us with the Anthony Niche or Fixture model in order for us to locate a suitable replacement.
