Hello, The cartridges we retail are all new. There is a manufacturer (OEM) cartridge, Pentair Clean & Clear 100 Sq Ft OEM Cartridge - R173215, and there is the generic Predator / Clean & Clear 100 Generic Cartridge - NFC0686 available for purchase.

Do you have a replacement for Pentair R178671. I believe this is Pentair Clean and Clear 125 sq ft cartridge.

My pentair filter model cc100 has a closed top on it, can I use a open top one. Mine was installed in 2013. One store told me it was a 9410, would this work in mine. Thanks

Hi, Jim. None of the Pentair CC filters uses a close top cartridge. This is the correct replacement for the CC100 model.

My filter has not been replaced for some time. While the tank is open I'd like to clean the inside of the tank thoroughly. It seems to be a fiberglass/composite material... originally made by American Products Co (now Pentair?) I like someone's idea of keeping the spare to dry thoroughly between changes.
Suggestions?

Hi Brenda, if you look at the plastic end cap of your cartridge then there should be a part # embossed into that plastic, could you supply that to us? This will allow us to make the proper cartridge suggestion.

i have a Pentaire cartridge filter and cannot read the # on top of the filter...but looks like PN173200 ,on the outside cartridge it had PN178555 RevE container ID SITE E.
the filter is 16"length 10"diameter outside and 6" inside. Please help me with the

We need to change our filter cartridge and its says it is a pentair cc-100, p/n 173200,125 sq ft - so we are not sure what the replacement cartridge number is??? I read some of the questions and answers and I'm more confused. Most of what we see for the cc100 is for 100 sq ft - not the 125 sq ft that is on the cartridge now. Can you please let me know which one is the correct one that we need. I was hoping to get it on the 15% of this weekend - probably won't happen?

Hi Zachary, yes, the Pentair Clean and Clear 100 Replacement Cartridge - PL0136 would be an excellent option to the OEM Pentair Clean & Clear 100 Sq Ft Cartridge - R173215 filter. It is made to the same standards as the OEM filter and is less expensive.
