My pool was installed 5 years ago. I need new bearings. However I may just replace the pump. I have a Waterway SMF-110. Would I gain anything if replaced the old pump with a SMF-115 other than increase in gal/min and amps draw to run the pump?

Hi, Gary. You will not gain anything other than an increase in water flow and higher energy usage. With the increase in water flow you will also need to confirm that your filter is large enough.

Will this replace the Hayward Super Pump Model SP2610X15 exactly, or will I have to change the plumbing connections

Hi Thomas, the port locations between these two pumps are almost exact. The suction port is located the same between the two housings but the top discharge port is further back by about a quarter of an inch on the Hayward Super Pump series.

Please take a close up shot of the motor label as well as a wide shot of the complete pump to include the pipes going in and out of the pump. I bought an older house and have been cleaning up the pool equipment. I have a SMF-115 pump but I don't know the age (ser.# SM160401 2309). The plate says it is 1.65hp 3450 rpm. The lift from the water level to the pump is less than 2'. I understand the pump will have lost some capacity thru the years but could you tell me an approximate flow rate on the pump? Thank you.

Hello Jim. Attached please find Product Information for the Waterway SMF-115. Please note the section SMF-Performance Curves, specifically the 1 1/2 HP curve. As an example: at 50 feet of head, the flow rate is approx. 70 GPM for the SMF-115.
