Our old heater is 240volt. What wattage is recommended for a 500 gal. baptistery?

Hi, Pastor Terry D. Hogan. You can use a 5.5Kw or higher to heat a 500 gallon baptistery. The higher the Kw the faster it will heat.

With the 11.5 heater and a 500 gal tank how long would it take to heat the baptismal. What setting, on the thermostat needed to get the best, or fastest rate to heat this amount of cold water.

Hi. This will heat 500 gallons of water 30 degrees in approximately 4.5 hours.

I understand that this is referred to as a circulation heater. Is the pump sold as a separate unit or is it somehow built within this unit?

Hi, Nathan. The Pump - NO.006 and Pump Installation Kit - GK OR PK is sold separately.

Can you confirm this heater is actually in stock and ready to ship? I am having a hard time with another place that said it was in stock and now claims not to be able to get any heater elements.

What size plumbing is required for this unit?

Hi Ethan, the fittings for this are 3/4"FPT.  We recommend the Baptistry Pump, the Baptistry Sediment Filter, and the Baptistry Pump Installation Kit for new installations.  Be sure to check out the other Baptistry Heaters and Replacement Parts.
