Jayne- Replacing the Cap & Gasket kit 4802-09B on you sand filter you would need to simply unscrew the old one, and quickly screw this one on.

I have a cap (S-180-H) and it leaks all the time,do you have any? It also has no gasket. Can you help me.

Hi Keith, Because you don't have a gasket that's why it leaks. I would recommend getting the Drain Cap Gasket (G-382), that will solve your problem.

My cap was replaced last fall by a pool company that is no longer in business. The cap leaked from day one and it did not have a gasket. The cap cracked and blew out the front of the cap. Now the threads are stripped and a new cap will not seal. What do i do?

John, If the threads are stripped there may be nothing else to do short of replacing the tank. I would recommend calling Hayward. You can reach them at 888-429-9273.

I called Blue Water as I'm looking for a filter drain cap for my Sandman filter. They only have the whole drain assembly available (#NEP2123) and shared your number. I see several caps, but don't know if they're the right one for my filter.

Hi Lisa, Unfortunately, just the cap is not available for that filter. You will have to replace the entire Drain Plug Assembly - NEP2123

I have a Club Pro Hayward sand filter Model# SM2106T Seriel # 21100002150514002 I need a new drain cap mine is missing. I can't find this filter anywhere and my husband said inside is a white piece with a holes to help sand not come out he thinks I need this as well, Not sure what its called. I also have the model number for the Valve I need a new sticker for that tell you backwash rinse winterize etc. Model# SP0714tc

The SM2106T is also sold under the name 20 Inch Sandmstr Filter 6Way The Cap & Gasket Kit - SX180HG is what you are referring to, the Drain Cap w/ Gasket and Screen - SX180LA is for models after 2006. Unfortunately, we do not have the label for the SP0714tc valve. You may contact Hayward directly at (908) 355-7995 to review a label for an order to replace it.

This cap goes to a Hayward sand filter so you would need to know the model filter in order for us to confirm for you.

Hi David, this is the correct cap and gasket for the Hayward Pro Series model S244S sand filter manufactured in 2005 and prior. If you are not sure when it was manufactured then you can use the serial number on the unit and confirm the date of manufacture with Hayward directly.

Hello Elizabeth, yes this is the correct drain cap for the Hayward sand filter model S244T manufactured in 2005 and prior. If you need the after 2005 manufactured version that will be part number 4802-16. If you are not sure when your filter was manufactured then you will want to contact Hayward by clicking here and provide the serial number of your filter that should be located on the main filter label on the tank body.
