Sometimes my Polaris cleaner cat walks and I was told that this float a20 could be the problem. Is this true?

Yes this sometimes can be the issue. The best way to be sure is by taking this float off and checking to see if water has filled it or gotten inside. This will make the rear of the cleaner weigh more than designed causing the cleaner to cat walk.

Hello Mike - All that is included is the float. The installation is simple. The head float threads onto the feed pipe.

Does this part control the forward direction of the vacunm?

No, the float is there to bring the cleaner upright if it falls from the walls. What controls the forward direction are the belts inside the cleaner.

What is making my Polaris 360 float to the top of water and not want to stay on the bottom?

Hi, The following things will cause you cleaner to float: Air in the unit or lines or the Base Weight is missing or out of place.

Not sure where the base weight is located. Is it attached on the bottom middle of unit?

Hello, The base weight is located on the bottom half of the unit near the center pipe.

Is my float head on my Polaris 360 supposed to be full of water or empty. Thank you.

The float head for the Polaris 360 should not be full of water. I would recommend replacing yours if water has entered the float.

Is the head float the one that goes on the back of the Polaris itself as opposed to the ones on the hose that attaches to the pool? Is it different from the others?

Thank you for contacting Inyo Pools, Yes the head float Head Float For Polaris Pool Cleaners A20 goes on the back of the cleaner and is different from the hose floats.
