I have a Purex Triton Nautilus FNS 48. Is this the correct grid assy? Thanks

Hello Guy, yes the 195086 will be the correct Pre-Assembled Drop in Grid Assembly for the FNS 48 Sq. Ft. DE Filter. Also do inspect the body oring as it is best to change it when you change the grids. O-ring, Tank (o-420) PART # 4600-5008 would be the replacement.

I have a 1987 FNS 48 with a small pinky size hole in one of the eight filters. Is it time for replacing all the filters (they are 30 years old) or how do I fix the hole? Thx mike

At that age I would highly recommend replacing all of the grids or even the entire grid assembly.

Hi Bob, Yes if you have a Nautilus 48 then this is the correct DE grid assembly. If you don't see any reference to your square footage of 48 Sq. Ft. on the filter tank, then measure the grid height and if it measures approximately 24" tall then you have the 48.

I have Nautilus FNS 48, I want to replace all the filter grids in system, what is the correct part number for my order?

Hello Todd.  The Pentair Grid Assy, 48 sq ft - FNS part #195086 is the pre-assembled drop-in replacement.  If you wished to replace the grids individually then a quantity of 7 full size 48 sq ft grids (part #4950-03) and a quantity 1 partial size 48 sq ft grid (part #4950-03A) would be required. It is recommended that the standpipe o-ring be replaced as well, part #4609-2323.  If you wished to replace all O-rings then part #APCK1167 would contain all the necessary parts to complete this project.   Filter, Grid 24" (48 Sq.ft.) (fg-1004)   Filter Grid 24" (48 Sq.ft.) (pg-1904)   O-ring, Generic 2-1/8" ID, 3/32" - 138   Pentair FNS Filter O-ring Kit - APCK1167

Hello Bill.  The Grid Assy., 48sq.ft. - Fns 48 (195086) is the complete grid assembly for the Pentair/Purex Triton Nautilus FNS 48 De Filter.  It is highly recommended that the Stand Pipe O-ring be replaced concurrent with the Grid Assembly  Stand Pipe O-ring.  Replace the Tank O-ring if necessary.  Attached please find the Pentair Nautilus FNS D.E. exploded parts diagram for reference.
