Does part number: 4672-07 (O-ring) fit a Nautilus stainless steel cartridge filter? Tank diameter is 17 3/4 (inside wall to inside wall) Nautilus model- NSS-48. Please advise as soon as possible.

I am looking for a o-ring for a Purex CFW 405 series tank. This is a stainless steel tank and everyone wants to sell me that big thick 9/16" o-ring with a red stripe and it is too thick. Can you help in any way?

Hi. We're showing the same Tank O-ring - P24225 as being the replacement for your model filter. There is no alternate replacement. Make sure that you're lubricating and installing the o-ring correctly.

I'm not sure if I need one or not, but I am not able to get the top of this filter around the o-ring. I've used silicone spray and brute force, and vice grips. Is there a trick to this, or is my current just old and in need of replacement as a result of it being stretched out now or swollen? I have the Pentair NSP 36 Model. And the o-ring has no cracks or cuts.

Hi Brian, What you are experiencing is a common sign that the o-ring has become over worn and needs replacing. This is the proper replacement O-Ring for the Pentair NSP36

There is an excellent youtube video of a guy working on a Pentair SMBW 2000 DE filter where he takes the clamp ring off and removes the lid by turning on the pump. To replace the lid he filled the tank about half full and shut off the pump with the lid setting on the o-ring and the suction created pulls the lid down on the o-ring. That is how I do it now after struggling with this problem for 15 years.

The unit looks near to what I have, the 9/16 will never fit way to big! all I/D has long been gone. The info I have is the canister is mounted to a Purex AU4 have been trying to find a gasket.

Hi Douglas, Is it a cartridge filter or DE filter? How about this parts diagram here do think this is your unit? Purex CF ABS Cartridge Filter Parts Diagram If it is a cartridge filter can you pull any part #'s off of the plastic end cap of the cartridge? If so please reply back with that part #

Hi Douglas, I'm showing that all of the filters that use the PFAB60 Cartridge use the PF 17-4704 Tank O-Ring which measures 12" ID x 7/16"

I have a Nautilus NS-36 DE filter. The o-ring for the outer body is a triangular shape. Will this oring P24225 O-86 Work as a replacement?
If not, what is the part number for the o-ring that is a triangular shape to replace such?
