Is this a 3" split nut? I need one to have on hand.
If so is it flexible enough to get over the pipe?

John, No this is not a 3" Split Nut but we do carry a split nut which accomodates 2" pipe and the nut itself measures 3-1/4" in diameter by 1-1/2" Thick. This item secures a top mount backwash valve to a Waterway Sand Filter and has the following dimensions 10" x 9.5" x 1.4"

if the ring leaks after replacing the o ring and tightening the split ring back up and seems to leak more and more is it a pressure problem

Hi, It's not a pressure problem, it could be that the o-ring has been installed incorrectly or need to be lubricated and or replaced.

Hi, John. The number provided cross references to the Standpipe Holder - 066120102 which is used on the Astral 1800 Series. The Valve Lock Ring - 06611R0204 is what you'll need.

Hello, You should be able to put it right on and open the clamp a little so it fits. I can confirm if you have purchased the correct one. What is the brand and the model of the filter?
