Hi. The correct way to install this o-ring is to make sure that it is seated in the lower half. This o-ring is completely round so no specific side is required for placement.

Unfortunately, we cannot verify with serial numbers. If you have the Jandy DEL Series D.E. Filter or Jandy DEV Series D.E. Filter they use the same Tank O-ring - R0357800 The Magic Lube O-ring Lubricant 1 Oz. Teflon - 630 is recommended with the purchase with the O-ring.
