WHAT IS THE AVERAGE WATER PRESSURE OF A TYPICAL GARDEN HOSE?
 Reply

A  Answered on 3/6/2013 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

The Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) calls for water to be delivered to US homes for domestic use at between 35 and 80 pounds per square inch (psi). That varies depending on your water source. Most city water systems produce between 40psi and 70psi of pressure. Houses that have their own well are likely set around 40psi. 50-60 psi is the average household range. The 2009 IRC states "P2903.3 Minimum pressure.

CAN I INCREASE MY WATER PRESSURE FROM THE TAP/HOSE BIB?
 Reply

A  Answered on 3/6/2013 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

No, you cannot increase tap water pressure without a special pump. However, our nozzles are designed to manipulate the way water is applied which boosts the “impact pressure”. If you find that your tap pressure is generally low, try connecting directly to the water main instead; you should see better results.

CAN I STORE THE FILTER FLOSSER WITH MY POOL CHEMICALS?
 Reply

A  Answered on 3/6/2013 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

No, we do not recommend storing near chemicals. Our nozzles are made of 100% electro polished aluminum and although the performance will not be affected, harsh chemicals will tarnish and pit the finish and diminish the overall appearance

My pump is working fine, just cleaned the filter grids, there is plenty of suction in the skimmer, but there is no debris caught in the skimmer basket. We had a lot of rain a couple of days ago, and the water level in my pool is all the way near the top of the pool.....Is this the reason? If not, what else can i check?

Hi Brian, If the water level of the pool is currently above the skimmer then it will not allow the skimmer to function as it should. You will need to reduce the water level of the pool to the middle of the skimmer, so that the debris can be caught in the skimmer basket.

How do I go about cleaning the inside of the filter with this attachment? That has always been the toughest part of cleaning my filters.
 Reply

Hi, John. Unfortunately, the Filterflosser can not clean the center of a cartridge. The Power Pic is what I'll recommend that you use to get inside of the cartridge.

Hi, Dwayne. I would not recommend bleach. You can use a Cartridge Cleaner or Dawn to clean your cartridges.

can I clean my pleated filters with a power washer, and where can I purchase Cartridge Cleaner
 Reply

Frank, I would not recommend using a power washer to clean the cartridge as that can damage it. You can try using garden hose pressure instead. You can find a good cartridge cleaning solution here: http://www.inyopools.com/Products/22300006058130.htm
