I have 130 linear feet to cover a joint 3/4 inch wide and 1/2 inch thick. Can you tell me how much I need
 Reply

A  Answered on 7/13/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Alan M.

A tube of Permaseal Caulk-White will cover 13'-15' at 1/4" bead. To cover approximately 130' would take about 10 tubes. You would need to double that to cover with a 1/2" bead, so that would take approximately 20 tubes.

Can it be used to seal between stainless steel panels in the pool side walls?
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/5/2017 by InyoPools Product Specialist Stacey M.

Hello, I would double check on sealing between stainless steel panels, because this product is used for aluminum, vinyl, glass, wood and concrete.  I would contact manufacturer Olympic Paint 800-426-6306 to see if the seal will keep between panels.

will permaseal work on a fiberglass skirt with a concrete in ground pool. will it seal the skirt to concrete?
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/28/2017 by InyoPools Product Specialist Stacey M.

Hello, this works on these materials PERMASEAL has excellent adhesion to aluminum, vinyl, glass, wood, concrete and most clean materials. Temperature range - 30 F to 175 F. In addition to swimming pool expansion joints, PERMASEAL can be used as a bedding compound, flashing seal, window seal, or bathtub caulk. Due to the seal on the skirt this is depending on prepping the skirt and concrete for proper seal to happen.
