The 200400T 36" Dual Handrail Drop in Step/Taupe has a ballast tray designed to hold ballast bags filled with sand. You would need approximately 125 lbs of sand to keep the step in place.

Can the step section be converted to use as a deck mounted step by removing the exterior ladder? I wanted to use it as pictured for an over the rail unit but want to build a deck which would eliminate the ladder section. And do you carry a suitable liner pad that would stay in place but be cleanable?

Don, This Step w/ Ladder system can be used as 2 separate parts the steps and ladder. We have the Gorilla Floor Padding and the Liner Guard Floor Pad.

How difficult is it to get this in and out of pool when opening and closing pool. Does this also need to be fastened to railing at all with screws. What size pools will this fit. We have 54" pool.

It is not difficult to take down and put up when opening and closing your pool. It's a matter of loosening a few screws. This can be used for you 54" pool.

I received my outside ladder portion on the set but not the inside steps. Does this set ship separately in 2 different boxes?
