What is this screw made of? Important because the one's I have now rusted away completely in one summer. Thank You.

C Fisher, I am pretty sure that it is a coated zinc screw but you'll will have to check with Hayward to confirm. That is not normal for those screws to rust in such a short period of time. Do you have a chlorinator plumbed in? if so, It might be back flowing in to your filter. But if your have anything corrosive like a salt system or Chlorinator. You may want to get a check valve to fix that and prolong the life of your system.
