What is the benefit of the clear solar blanket over the blue one?

First, the clear solar blanket is thicker than the blue; the clear is 12 mil thick while the blue is 8 mil. Secondly, the clear allows the sun to pass through the blanket thus heating the water better. The blue blanket tends to absorb the heat itself so the blanket gets hot, not the water. Lastly, the clear blanket has a 5 year warranty as opposed to the 3 year warranty for the blue.

Does the solar cover come with an overlap like a winter cover does?

No, the solar cover does not come with an overlap. A solar cover is designed to sit on top of the water's surface and fits on the inside perimeter of the pool wall.

My swimming pool water is always cold. A pool heater is not in my budget right now. Is there anything I can use to make the water temperature more comfortable?

If you get a lot of direct sunlight on the pool, I would recommend using our Magni Clear solar blanket. The Magni Clear solar blanket allows the suns rays to reach the pool water which gives you free heat. Does the solar cover do anything to prevent excessive debris from getting in the pool? My neighbors have a large tree that overhangs my property and I'm looking to get a product that will heat the pool while also minimizing the amount of foliage that gets in during the fall season.

Yes the debris would land on the cover thus preventing the debris from landing in the pool, but we would not suggest if your debris is very heavy as the solar cover really is not designed as cover to handle a lot of debris.

LOVE this solar pool cover! It works so much better than the blue ones we've had in the past. It's thicker and a much better quality, and it really heats the water up perfectly. Very fast shipping, too! Highly recommend.

Purchased late in the 2018 season. Got cold before I could get it on. Put it on my reel this year. Now that the nights are getting in the 50s, I have been leaving it on the pool. It's not as heavy as my last clear solar blanket, but much easier to manage. So far it has been keeping the water about 80 degrees here in central Illinois.

We've had this just this year, been on the pool for about 2 months and it has done a great job keeping the pool at an acceptable temp. The 12ml is worth it.

The solar cover I purchased for my pool fit perfectly and has already warmed the pool water almost enough to get in,and it is just april.It is real easy to install and well worth the money.I have used other covers in the past and they not only wore out quickly,but they didn`t work well at all.
