What is the benefit of the clear solar blanket over the blue one?

First, the clear solar blanket is thicker than the blue; the clear is 12 mil thick while the blue is 8 mil. Secondly, the clear allows the sun to pass through the blanket thus heating the water better. The blue blanket tends to absorb the heat itself so the blanket gets hot, not the water. Lastly, the clear blanket has a 5 year warranty as opposed to the 3 year warranty for the blue.

No, the solar cover does not come with an overlap. A solar cover is designed to sit on top of the water's surface and fits on the inside perimeter of the pool wall.

If you get a lot of direct sunlight on the pool, I would recommend using our Magni Clear solar blanket. Does the solar cover do anything to prevent excessive debris from getting in the pool? My neighbors have a large tree that overhangs my property and I'm looking to get a product that will heat the pool while also minimizing the amount of foliage that gets in during the fall season.

Yes the debris would land on the cover thus preventing the debris from landing in the pool, but we would not suggest if your debris is very heavy as the solar cover really is not designed as cover to handle a lot of debris.

I have a 22 ft. Coleman round above ground pool that gets about 3 to 4 hours of sunlight will this help raise the temp. My backyard is pretty much shaded. Also can this stay on the pool while the pump is running. I've already got rid of the little pump and filter that came with the pool because it was way to small and not doing the job. Replaced with a 1 1/2 hp. pump and a larger filter system so I have really good water flow. Thanks

To get maximum heat from your solar blanket, does it need to be stationary or moving around the pool by the water inlets? What does one do about ladders into the pool?

Hi, Richard. Yes, the cover will need to be stationary. Water movement is okay when the cover is on. For the ladder, you can make a cut out for the ladder.

We have a 24' round pool. Do you have to have a reel for the clear solar cover, or can you just lay it on top manually?
Is it difficult and bulky to store this cover?

Hi, Dianne. I'm sorry, we do not have any reels available at this time. The cover can be manually placed and taken off of the pool.
