Product Description

GORILLA FLOOR PADDING

SUPER STRONG FLOOR PAD PROTECTS LINERS FROM ROCKS & ROOTS

New Gorilla Pad makes old foam floor padding obsolete. Unlike foam, which can be easily cut by roots or rocks under your liner, Gorilla Padding is impervious to almost any sharp object. Gorilla Padding is a geotextile that was developed to protect trash dump liners where any cut would be a catastrophe. Gorilla Padding is super tough, but also adds a layer of cushioning that will eliminate footprints from forming. Gorilla Pad is cut to size and seamed for your pool. No more cutting and taping as with foam. Virtually eliminate vinyl liner bottom leaks with Gorilla Pad.

Note: Gorilla Padding will not stop grass, we suggest Perfect Pool Bottom to stop grass

I am wondering if you need to put sand under the Gorilla floor padding? Or can this be just set on the level ground?

You can set up the Gorilla floor pad either way.  Some of our customers will put a layer of sand down and then the Gorilla floor pad.  However the manufacturer states that you do not have to put sand down first.

The Gorilla pad is about an 1/8" thick. It is similar to a piece of felt material.

Does the Gorilla pad go on top of the pool cove?
 Reply

The Gorilla pad would be put down first and the pool cove would go on top of the Gorilla pad.

Does this still require a liner between the pad and the bottom of the pool? Or is the Gorilla Pad all that is required? THX

Hello Gary, the Gorilla Floor Padding makes old foam floor padding obsolete. Typically you would place traditional foam padding between the liner and the ground. This is an alternative to traditional foam padding.

can I put foam on top of this ?
 Reply

Hello Scot, You can if you so desire to put more padding down, but would recommend doing the math of how much sand you will be laying down first than laying down foam, I would recommend doing a double layer gorilla floor padding NL122.
