I would go with the 2" backwash hose. If you have a 1.5" port you can use the supplied hose clamp however if you go with the 1.5" and you have a 2" port then it will be a struggle to use the smaller hose.

While the walls of this hose seemed pretty thick, the first time I attempted to backwash my filter split the hose in at least locations as the water was trying to reach the end of the hose. The hose is folded in half lengthwise when it is rolled up in its packaging and it seemed to be stuck like this. My guess is that the pressure of the water trying to separate the hose caused it to split where it was folded. I ended up buying a hose at half the price that works fine.
