This upgrade kit will convert a Pentair Whisperflo into a 1.65HP variable speed pump. We've packaged the correct sized impeller to ensure maximum efficiency and a heavy-duty shaft seal for ultimate durability.

If I replace my two speed Whisperflo motor with this VS, what will I do with my current timer/switch? Does it get bypassed completely and I just use the programming on the motor?

I have a Whisperflo WF-24. Can I use this motor as a replacement upgrade?

Hello David. The Pentair Whisperflo VS Motor Upgrade Kit MKIT32VS16 is compatible with the Whisperflo model WF-24. The MKIT32VS16 will upgrade the Whisperflo WF-24 from a 1.0 HP Single Speed pump to a 1.65 HP Variable Speed pump.

The Pentair Whisperflo VS Motor Upgrade Kit 1.65 HP model MKIT32VS16 is a compatible replacement if the circulation demand of your pool can accommodate the 0.55 drop in horsepower and subsequent drop in water flow. If the pool has Solar Heating (single or two-story) water features (fountains, waterfall), the Pentair Whisperflo VS Motor Upgrade Kit 2.7 HP MKIT32VS27 would be the better selection. If the pool's circulation demands can accommodate a 0.55 horsepower reduction, the MKIT32VS16 is compatible. If the pool's circulation demands can not accommodate a 0.55 horsepower reduction, the VS Motor Upgrade Kit MKIT32VS27, 2.7 THP is the better selection. Is this upgrade compatible with a WFE-4 pump. It currently uses a pentair 71314 1hp motor;
