The new Silencer by Air Supply has taken a quantum leap in quiet performance. The unique motor mount is the secret to our success. A thick rubber cup encases the fan while allowing the motor to vibrate freely on a flexible rubber base. This combination eliminates noise so well that virtually no foam is required. Many competitive blowers use foam to reduce noise, but foam may clog over time causing starvation and overheating. Included with each Silencer is a durable spring check valve, which is far more effective than flapper valves at stopping motor damage. Silencers are suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation.

I disconnected the power to my pool equipment and removed the wires from the supply line on the old blower. I removed the unit from the pool plumbing by lifting the unit straight up off the pvc pipe. I decided to attach the unit to the wall of the house about 3 feet away from where it use to be. I installed bolts thru the holes provided in the housing plate and then with unions and elbows ran pvc pipe and attached it to the new blower. I wired the unit to the supply lines, turned on the power and then powered up the new blower. It performs much better then the old one. Thanks to Inyo pools for helping me choose the right unit and giving me a good price.

Pros: easy install, Quiet performance
This blower is replacing one 25 years old. The change out was easy and the instruction easy to follow. Blower is located less than 15ft from spa and I can't hear it running over the pool pump, (maybe time to check into a new quiet pool pump).
