INYOpools highly recommends replacing the shaft seal, o-rings and gaskets when replacing your motor, if you use your old shaft seal it will not mate up properly with the new pump and may leak. The best value is to go with one of INYO's tune up kits which include the shaft seal and all O-rings, gaskets and lubricant for your pump.

I'm buying the V-Green 1.65 HP Square Flange 48Y Variable Speed Motor - ECM16SQU to replace my Century 1.65 THP Square Flange Motor - HSQ165. Am I buying the right V-Green to fit my Pentair 35-5301 pump? Which GO Kit and shaft seal should I buy?
I just bought a new sealing kit from inyo pools for a Pac/Fab Pinnacle pump. I installed the parts and I get a small steam where the bracket that holds the bottom of the sealing plate when the pump is running. When it is off it stops. Where the pump and motor mounts to the body and large o-ring is I took it apart and re-lubed and still leaks (used magic lube)Can you help Thanks in advance of for your time.
Hi John, The Seal Plate could have gotten slightly distorted causing it not to seal.
I am trying to determine if this kit is correct for my Pinnacle pump. The numbers on the casing are as follows , PF11-P1-1, 1-22-C7 Part number 34-2351 serial number 03090820700854
how do I know if my pump is pre '94-(P/N 355371) I need the o-rings or your tune -up kit. Thanks
Angelo the tune up kit is the same for all Pinnacle models. The tune up kit is part number GOKIT24. The pre '94 models had square flange motors and the post '94 had round flange motors.
My pump is not priming even after cleaning impeller. Will purchasing this kit aid in fixing that problem?
The seal kit can help with loss of prime. I can't guarantee that it will solve your problem. The loss of prime could be from an air leak at the valves or plumbing in front of the pump.
I recently changed my pool motor and gaskets. I made sure to lubricate all the gaskets with vaseline. A few days later water is leaking from the pump. What did I do wrong? Help please!!
You never want to use vaseline on any rubber gaskets or o-rings. Vaseline is petroleum based and will deteriorate the rubber quickly. Whenever you change the motor on a pool pump it is recommended that you replace the gaskets and shaft seal as well. A >Go-kit contains the shaft seal, packet of non-petroleum based lubricant and gaskets you will need for your pump. If you already have the gaskets, you can purchase >Magic Lube.
(5 out of 5 stars) Perfect!
