Blue Wave's spring start-up kits contain everything you need to open your pool this spring. We’ve pre-formulated and pre-measured each kit to fit your pool size. All you have to do is pour each product into the pool as instructed. Plus, unlike other kits, Blue Wave “packs a punch” with super-strong BURST (dichlor) shock. Choose the kit that best fits your pool size (see contents below). Remember that the liquids in each kit have been concentrated for a single dosage in your pool size.

Pool opening

Written on 6/1/2018 by Guest

Remove cover and get all plugs installed or removed depending on the location. Get the pump running as soon as you can. Let pump run while you start vacuuming but make sure you have a skimmer sock to help keep your filter from clogging up. Much easier to remove skimmer and clean the sock every 10 minutes for the first vacuuming. After running for a while take water sample to pool store(I check it first and write down my readings, then I can compare to pool store readings to make sure my testing is working properly). Add the chemicals they suggest to get the PH and AL where it needs to be. Then I started adding the opening kit. I added the metal remover and the shimmer and let that circulate. By this time it is clean enough to start using the automatic cleaner. The next afternoon I put the shock in. The next morning the water was looking very good, just need to keep using the skimmer socks and was cleaning my filter. (I also use last years filter for the first day and keep cleaning it) After shocking and automatic cleaner working for a day or 2 I then go ahead and install my new filter. All looks great within a few days.
