I have a working RM-6000 receiver with the RM-400 ckt board inside, my remote transmitter for this unit is bad. Can you tell me Mhz range for the transmitter so I can repair it and or the cost to replace it. Thanks

Hi, Bill. The range is 75 feet depending on obstructions conditions. Replacement parts are not available.

I currently have a WPC3 remote that is not working, I understand I need to upgrade to an RM6000 system? On my WPC 3 I have 4 button's one for on/off, one for spa light, one for Pool Light, one for Sync both lights, will this RM6000 system and remote work all those items?

A     Answered on 5/5/2018 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi, Richard. The RM6000 Control System is only to be used with the 6004 AND 6004-AS fiber optic illuminators. It will not work with the WPC3 system.

Will the Fiberstars 6004 or 6004AS light up 2 lights and perimeter lighting?

A     Answered on 4/23/2013 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

The number of lights the 6604 and 6004AS will illuminate will depend on the number of fiber strands. The 6604 and 6004AS will accept up to 450 strands of fiber.

What is the difference between the Fiberstars 2004 and 6004 illuminators?

A     Answered on 1/16/2008 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

The 2004 model has a strand capacity of 400 while the 6004 will hold 450 fiber optic strands.  The 6004 has a metal halide lamp that is rated at an average of 6000 hours.  The quartz-halogen lamp inside the 2004 is rated at 400-700 hours average.  The 6004 model is more energy efficient than the 2004 and consumes less power.

How does the remote connect to the existing unit?

A     Answered on 7/16/2006 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

This item comes with a remote and a receiver.  The receiver is mounted at the illuminator. The remote control sends a signal to the receiver to turn power on and off to the illuminator as well as start and stop the color wheel.
