I have a SM 2506 T sand filter. The existing plumbing is for 2 inches. What top mount valves would be compatible with the Hayward SM2506T sand filter. I would prefer getting valve with 2 inches plumbing ports
Hello- The only valve I see listed for the SM2506T is the Replacement Valve for Hayward SP0714T - PL0714 which is 1.5".
my SM 2506T sand filter has 2" plumbing connected to a Hayward SP 71 top valve. Will a hayward valve with 1.5" ports work ? Do couplings exist to go from 2" to 1.5" ?
will this fit SM 2506T sand filter ?
I Have a Hayward GM-245 sand filter with a SP714T multiport valve. Will this work as a replacement for that valve? I want to replace my old single speed pump with a VS pump and replace all the plumbing with 2" PVC, plus my current SP714T is leaking so I figure this would be a good time to replace it. If not, are there any other 2" models that I could replace the SP714T with?
Can you tell me what is included with the Hayward 2" vari-flo top mount sand filter valve(SP071621)?
Hello, the SP071621 includes the complete top mount valve.
My pump and heater are 2", the filter is 1 1/2". Will this be a problem with flow restriction?
Hi, Mick. It 's not going be an issue if the filter can handle the flow rate of the pump.
After changing sand, muliport valve will not seat properly to put screws back in. How do i straigthen.
Hi, Rick. You will have to remove some of the sane until you can straighten the standpipe.
Will this work with S270T2?
Yes this is the correct valve for the Hayward S270T2.
Hi l we have a hayward sand filter and need to replace the vari-flo control value. part number SP-711-13 is this part suitable
Good morning Teresa, Yes, This part will work for you.
Can I use this valve to replace an SP0714T with 1.5" fittings. Our pump is 2" and I'd like to avoid the reduction if possible.
Hello Richard, Yes you can swap the SP0714T to the SP071621, but the questions would be are you using adaptors to fit into your 2" lines from your SP0714T? Just make sure you have 2" all the way around to make sure this will work for you.
I have an Hayward Vari-flo xl Valve (75 pgm/284 lpm) filter and I have a leak at the pressure gauge. Do I have to have a specific pressure gauge or will any work? I guess that's my problem since its leaking from it
Can we get this valve (Hayward Var-flow sp071621) to replace ours. The old conections are straight up and down, will this pose a problem ?
Hi Jill, If you can provide us with the manufacturer and model of the filter you have we can confirm if the valve will replace the one that you have.
I need parts for my filter valve. When I look at the filter parts breakdown, it gives me different choices. How do I know which one is the one I need?
In order to locate the correct parts we will need to know the model number of the filter valve. Two identical filters can have two different valves. Typically the valve model will be located on the label of the valve. If there is no model number on the valve, you can try to see if there are any part numbers on the valve itself. Once you've located you valve model you can check out our >Filter Valve Parts.
How do I bleed air for a top mounted Hayward multiport valve? They have no air bleeder valve.
Hayward TOP mounted multiport valves do not require an air bleeder valve. They self purge air in the system through the return lines.
