Do you have a timer for above ground pool with Hayward 1.5 pump? If not, know where I can get?

A     Answered on 9/1/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi Sandra, This timer can be used with a 1.5 hp pump as long as the pump does not draw more than 20 amps at 115 volts.

Clock is keeping time but not turning on pump or turning off.trippers are in the time that I set and there is power. Just started malfunctioning a week or two ago. The timer is approximately three years old. Any ideas. Thanks.

Hi Bob. I had the same problem with a similar model timer. I fixed it by replacing the small motor inside, which was pretty simple. If you power down and take a look at the inside you may find a part number for that motor. Otherwise you can give Intermatic a call at 815-675-7000 and check for a better solution.

Can this timer be mounted to a wooden receptacle post?

A     Answered on 12/11/2006 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

According to Intermatic, the P1131has a keyhole on the back which will allow it to be mounted to a post with a screw or nail.  They recommend mounting the timer at least 1 foot above any standing water or snow.

Is the the plug or the receptacle twist lock?

A     Answered on 7/13/2006 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

The recptacle on the timer is designed to accept a twist lock plug and the plug coming off of the timer is also twist lock. So both the receptacle and plug are twist lock.

I have a 1 1/2 HP Hayward filter, I need a timer box that I can connect to it. Will this handle it or do you have another timer that might?

A     Answered on 6/18/2006 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

This will only accommodate up to 1.0 HP pump. If this is for an above ground pool pump then you could use the following timer SP1500FT http://www.inyopools.com/Products/02200022032590.htm

?     Asked on 6/5/2006 by Guest

I have a twist lock plug on my filter. I am assuming that you can plug in this type of plug into the timer? Also my filter is a 1.5 HP and the specs say it is good for 1 HP. Can I use this or is there another model that will work?

A     Answered on 6/5/2006 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

This timer is designed specifically for pumps with a twist cord, however it can only handle pumps up to 1.0 HP. We do not have a timer available for twist lock pumps over 1.0 HP.
