This Portable Outdoor Timer is specially designed to control the filter pump of a portable pool or spa. They can also be used to turn ON and OFF outdoor decorations, engine block heaters and other appliances - indoors or outdoors. This timer is specifically designed to work with pumps up to 1 HP with twist lock cords.

Questions customers have been asking about this product:

Q:	I have a twist lock plug on my filter. I am assuming that you can plug in this type of plug into the timer? Also my filter is a 1.5 HP and the specs say it is good for 1 HP. Can I use this or is there another model that will work?
A:	This timer is designed specifically for pumps with a twist cord, however it can only handle pumps up to 1.0 HP. We do not have a timer available for twist lock pumps over 1.0 HP.
Q:	I have a 1 1/2 HP Hayward filter, I need a timer box that I can connect to it. Will this handle it or do you have another timer that might?
A:	This will only accommodate up to 1.0 HP pump. If this is for an above ground pool pump then you could use the following timer SP1500FT http://www.inyopools.com/Products/02200022032590.htm
Q:	Is the the plug or the receptacle twist lock?
A:	The recptacle on the timer is designed to accept a twist lock plug and the plug coming off of the timer is also twist lock. So both the receptacle and plug are twist lock.
Q:	Can this timer be mounted to a wooden receptacle post?
A:	According to Intermatic, the P1131has a keyhole on the back which will allow it to be mounted to a post with a screw or nail. They recommend mounting the timer at least 1 foot above any standing water or snow.
Q:	How long is the cord on this timer?
A:	The cord is 22 inches long.
