One of the most popular waterfalls on the market, is the Original Waterfall which creates a beautiful sheet flow effect. The combination of smooth flowing water and the relaxing sound of the fall transforms your pool into a backyard paradise.
This waterfall has a width of 18 inches and a lip size of 1 inch. All Original Falls are backfeed. The 18-inch waterfall requires a pump that can provide 18 gallons per minute (GPM); pump is sold separately.

How can I find out if our pool pump would not be stressed by this water feature?

Your waterfall will need its own pump. The pump you choose depends on the size of your waterfall. Please view this link to help select a pump of choice http://www.inyopools.com/pool_waterfalls_original.aspx The 18" Original Waterfall with 1" lip CLEARANCE - PL9581 requires 18-gallons per minutes if you are trying to determine if the circulation pump can handle the added waterfall (it most likely will not unless the pump is extremely oversized) however, you are welcome to view our How Do I Calculate Feet of Head for My Pool?
