Will this valve work to replace my ole (about 20 year old) multiport valve ? I have a Purex Triton Nautilus FND 48 DE filter and the multi valve is a Purex Triton with the following part number on it: 27-3207
Hi, Scott. Yes, this valve will work with a 20 year old Purex Triton Nautilus FNS 48 DE filter.
Will the valve 261152 and the 27506-200-000 both fit the Pac Fab 36 filter?
Hi, Bill. This valve will work with the Pac Fab/American Products/Pentair FNS, FNS Plus & NSP DE Filters.
I need to replace an American Products Titan RPM DE filter and 2" American Products Multiport valve. The Pentair #18007 filter and 2" multiport valve look like a close match. Any way to get dimensions, etc. to see how much plumbing work will need to be done to make this switch?
The intake measures 8" from the bottom of the filter to the first bulkhead fitting, the filter discharge measures 15-1/2" from the bottom of the filter to the second bulkhead fitting. The height of the FNS Plus 36 Sq Ft Filter w/o Valve - 180007 is 43" and the vertical clearance required to remove the grids is 62". The 2" Hi-Flow Valve with Bulkhead Fittings for DE - 261142 best recommended with this filter.
I have a Pentair FNS48 DE side mount Filter with a Slide valve assembly and am considering the two inch valve shown herein. I do not have the option of "waste" with the slide valve and I noticed that this valve assembly does. Will it work with my Pentair FNS48 Filter?
Hi George, Yes this valve will work on the Pentair FNS48 DE Filter.
can i get next day or 2 day shipping on pentair 261152 valve

I have an older FNS 60 filter and the back flow valve appears to be bigger in diameter than the 2 " variety, its more like three inches. Where it connects to the filter its 3 1/4 inches. Do you have a remedy
Hi Gary, the 2" is talking about the pipe going into the valve not the connections for the valve onto the filter. You should see digital writing on your pipe going into the valve and it should either 1.5" or 2". If it says 2" then this is the valve for you.
On my pool, it appears that the inlet port is 1 3/4 inch diameter.
Hi Jon, It appears that you have the 1.5" valve which is p/n 261177.
We have this valve and it is not backwashing properly, we get a suction rather then a flow out, on the out tube. Why could that be? Other than this it seams to be working properly.
Hi Julie, I would recommend having someone come out to check your system because what you're describing does not possible.
to install the valve, does it matter which of the inlet valves are connected to the pump?
Hi Cindy, The ports are specifically labeled as Pump, Return and Waste.
Which port is which? The two ports that attach to the filter are obvious, but I can't see if the others are labeled. Which is the in (from pump) port? Which is the out (to pool)? And which is the backwash/drain port? I'm guessing backwash is the one by itself and on the two port side the inlet is the top, outlet is the bottom to match filter ports? Thanks
Hi Chris, All of the ports on the 2" Multiport Valve Threaded for D.E are labeled so that installation is done correctly. The port on the right on the opposite side will labeled "pump", the "return" port will be back to the pool and "waste" would be backwash.
Is the input and output connections from the pool threaded or glued on the 261152 valve? I don't seem to be able to find a picture anywhere. Thanks
I found a picture from one of our vendors that does show it is threaded inside. If you click on the model number - 261152 - it will take you to their site. Their picture blows up better than most I found.
I have a Pac Fab Model MS-20-2 Serial number 2916 5112 multi port value that has failed. It is used on a Nautilus NS-60 DE filter. Is this value plug and play for the old value, and/or do you recommend getting a new filter at the same time?
Mr. Arnold, If you're planning to replace the entire filtration system, then it will be netter to do it at the same time. In the meanwhile you can replace your multiport valve with this one and it can also be used on the newer Pentair D.E. Filters.
please tell me, are the two connections which go to the DE filter adjustable when the valve is purchesed or are they fixed? my anthony filter has an 8 inch center to center distance but nowhere do i see distances specified.
Hello Joe - The plumbing connections cannot be changed on the 261152 valve. You may want to checkout valve model 4702P. This is a complete valve body without the plumbing connections. You can plumb this valve to match your Anthony filter.
I need parts for my filter valve. When I look at the filter parts breakdown, it gives me different choices. How do I know which one is the one I need?
In order to locate the correct parts we will need to know the model number of the filter valve. Two identical filters can have two different valves. Typically the valve model will be located on the label of the valve. If there is no model number on the valve, you can try to see if there are any part numbers on the valve itself. Once you've located you valve model you can check out our >Filter Valve Parts.

Pros: Great website; comparable prices
Bought this backwash valve to replace my dated one that was 13 years old. It is working great. Hope to get another 10 plus years out of this one. Used inyo because of the diagrams on info and details on website.

Pros: Multifunctional valve, this makes pool care very easy and far more economical (in time and cost) than standard backwash feature on older filter. I can run skimmers without filtering, lower pool level
Cons: I've not discovered any cons.
