How do you know when the valves are open or closed?

For the two-way valve, the valve will be closed when the handle is turned perpendicular to the incoming and outgoing valve. The valve will be open when the handle is parallel to the openings in the valves.

I can't get the valve to turn it is stuck on main drain (to the left). I want to return it to the middle position

Hi. If the diverter is stuck you will have to replace open the valve to find out why and or replace the diverter assembly.

My two way diverter valve appears to not working after one year. Most times when cleaner position is selected for using my cleaner, most times I lose pump pressure. How can I check the diverter unit to be certain it's working properly.

Hi, Vince. Rotate the valve to make sure it's turning smoothly and check the condition of the o-rings.
