Hi, Tony. Yes, this filter can be used with the Intelliflo pump as long as the flow rate of the pump does not exceed 72 GPM.
Hi, I have ordered this filter, In the process of being shipped. Do you know how much the total unit weighs? I know the grid assembly weighs 23.5 lbs.
Hello Lucy, the whole filter weighs 140 LBS.
My pool system is 30 years old. I have a Pac Fab DE filter model WS/FNS-48. The fiberglass is badly deteriorated and I wish to replace this filter with a new filter. Can you advise me of a replacement filter? Thank you
Good morning Barney, You are looking for FNS Plus 48 Sq Ft Filter w/o Valve - 180008. I would also recommend you replace the muti-port. Which you can click on parts by filter and choose whether you have 1.5 inch or 2" plumbing.
Hello, how may we assist you?
I have in ground 16X32 pool( about 22000 gallons) with 300 lb sand filter and 1.5 hp pump , I need to change it to DE filter.what is the right size DE filter should I use and the right pump hp also the right valve. Thanks
Hi Nick, The FNS Plus 36 filter can be a suitable replacement if your pump does not exceed 72 gpm. There are different types of valve that can be used with this filter depending on your pipe size and style valve. You can view the available valve via the Pentair FNS Plus D.E. Filter Parts page.
I have a purex triton FNSP36 now i have to replace is this the filter that will fit what i have,
Hi Carol, The Pentair FNS Plus 36 Sq Ft Filter w/o Valve would be the correct replacement filter.
Will this filter a 20'x40' pool 33,000 gal?
This filter can handle up 72 GPM's per minute meaning that it will be able to accomodate 34,000 gallons in an 8 hour time period. So this filter can handle your 33,000 gallon pool, however if your pocket book can handle it I would suggest going up to the FNS Plus 48 Sq. Ft. DE Filter. A larger filter will put less strain on your pump and will have a larger filtering capacity meaning you will not have to backwash your filter as often as with the 36 Sq. Ft. model.
(5 out of 5 stars) Great product

Pros: Works great, looks great.
Cons: Doesn't heat my pool (ha-ha).
Good price, prompt delivery, great product. It was an easy swap with my 30 year old FNS 36 unit. Up and running in less than 30 minutes. 8 filter and backwash cycles and my pool went from deep green to sky blue and has stayed that way since.
