I purchased this pool cleaner after extensive online research and based my decision on the positive reviews at numerous sites, plus the fact that it has minimal parts that have to be replaced (which was a downfall to so many other competitor's products). Since it's my first pool cleaner I can't compare it to other products, but in my opinion it does a very good job of cleaning the bottom of the pool. Maybe because this is all new to me that it takes a little time to set up every time and I'm hoping it's just a learning curve that I'll get over soon. I enjoy watching it go around the pool and have not experienced any problems with its performance yet after using it a few times.

This is my second new unit. I rebuilt my first one after five years to last another 4 yrs. Complete unit with new hoses. Was not expecting those for the price. First unit was the blue model but color doesn't really matter as long as it cleans the pool.

I have a vinyl liner pool and my original suction cleaner always got stuck in the corner. I purchased this cleaner and basically tossed it into the pool. It moves all over the pool and seems to suck up any visable debris. My liner is blue and the dark wheels do not leave any marks on the liner. So far I am very impressed.

The polaris is smooth and doesn't seem to get stuck. The vacuum will get clogged with leaves and bigger items.

It was easy to connect. In my short term use it has performed well. It is doing what I expected. Seems like it gets stuck often but in its cycle, it changes direction and frees itself. I am concerned about the wheels leaving marks or wearing my liner when it gets stuck. Time will tell. It cleans the bottom well. It also looks like it creates a current around the unit which then puts any sediment waterborne for filtration by your skimmers or main drain.
