The Dolphin Diagnostic Advantage

LIMITED STOCK - Please call for availability The Dolphin is the world's first and best selling robotic pool cleaner.  And after 25 years of scrubbing pools clean, it still leads the industry with its advanced electronics, rugged construction, superior cleaning performance, and unequalled service record.  The Dolphin scrubs and vacuums the pool floor, walls and waterline and microfilters the pool water - it's like adding another filter to your pool!  The Dolphin's reusable filter bag is designed with the optimum porosity to catch the smallest debris yet avoid clogging. It operates with it's own pump and filter system which avoids the wear and tear on your pool pump and filter caused by water-powered cleaners. In fact, the Dolphin saves you up to 50% on electricity and backwashing costs and up to 30% on chemical costs!  The Dolphin's water-cooled motors (no oil to leak) are guaranteed for 24 months.  Its extra long 50 ft. self-floating cord is attached to a weatherproof 24 volt transformer which is ETL listed for outdoor use. No installation is required – just plug it in.  It even has a built-in 6 hour auto shutoff and advanced, self-diagnostic software.

pool questionsQuestions customers have been asking about this product:

Q: Does the unit come with the caddy and the PVC brush for in-ground plaster/masonite/concrete pools?

A: The NE250 (DL2019) does include the brush.  The caddy is sold separately and can be seen on our web site at Dolphin Caddy

Q: Will this unit work in a concrete or gunite pool?

A: Yes

Q: Does the NE250 work with aboveground pools?

A: No, it does not. For aboveground pools, we recommend the Robo-kleen aboveground pool cleaner. To view it click on this link: http://www.inyopools.com/Products/05600005003154.htm

Q: I've had a Polaris cleaner for 15 years and need to replace it. How does it compare to the NE250? Can I use the same booster motor?

A: The NE250 is a robotic cleaner. It's a little different than the Polaris, but is one of the more popular cleaners on the market. It does not require a booster pump, but rather sucks everything into its own internal filter bag. The bag needs to be emptied periodically, similar to a household vacuum. The Dolphin cleaner will also climb up the sides of your pool unlike the Polaris pressure pool cleaner. We recommend the Dolphin over the older Polaris models.

Q: Our pool is a group of three overlapping or intersecting rectangles. There are inside corners with 90 degree turns as well as outside corners with 270 degree turns. Will the Dolphin Diagnostic, NE250 navigate the outside 270 degree turns?

A: The swimming pool does not have to be rectangular or round.  It can be any shape and the Dolphin will navigate around the swimming pool. It may favor some parts of your pool, but should clean around the entire swimming pool.

Q: Can I use this cleaner on an inground vinyl pool?

A: Yes.  This cleaner works with inground vinyl, fiberglass, concrete, and gunite swimming pools

Q: Can this cleaner be used in a pool with a liner?

A:

Yes, the Dolphin Automatic Pool Cleaner (DL2019) can be used in a pool with a vinyl liner.

Q: Does this unit come with the remote control or if not, will it work with a remote?

A:

The Dolphin Diagnostic does not come with a remote.  According to the manufacturer, the DL2019 model cannot be used with a remote control.  The Dolphin Dynamic (2002) comes with a remote and caddy.  This can be seen on our web site at:  http://www.inyopools.com/Products/05600005003539.htm

Q: I was wanting to buy a Dolphin Diagnostic Robotic Cleaner. Some I have been looking have a 65 foot cord and other only a 50 foot cord. I need the longer one (65) but I only saw you had a 50 foot one. Can you help me or do you only sell on with the 50 foot cord length? Thanks

A: About 2 years ago Smart Pool made changes to this pool cleaner, one of the changes they made was reducing the cord length from 65' down to 50' We only have the new models available with the 50' cord. If you can get by with a 55' cord we would recommend the Tiger Shark pool cleaner which you may view or purchase through this link http://www.inyopools.com/Products/00100001005585.htm The nice thing about the Tiger Shark is that it uses cartridges instead of a bag. All you need to do is remove the cartridges from the bottom of the machine, then rinse and clean with a garden hose!

Q: Is it safe to swim while this unit is in use?

A:

You cannot swim nor run the pump/filter while this unit is in use.  The reason behind this is that the slightest wave or hit could knock the unit off of the wall while it's climbing.  The unit can sit in the pool while turned off, and waves won't bother it, but it cannot be used while the pool is occupied or the pump/filter are running.

Q: Please explain the difference between the standard dolphin replacement filter bags, disposable filter bags, how often to replace, can you just pull out and wash? Also I noticed you sell replacement scrubber brushes, how do these need to be replaced? Is this machine hard on a vinyl liner?

A: The standard dolphin replacement filter bags are designed to handle finer debris like sand and silt and these bags typically lasts 3 years. The standard bags can be washed in a washing machine using no detergent. The disposable filter bags are designed to handle larger debris like leaves and twigs and are recommended when opening the pool in the spring or closing the pool in the fall. The disposable bags last 2-3 cleanings and may be purchased through this link http://www.inyopools.com/Products/00100001004983.htm The Dolphin robot pool cleaners are designed to work on vinyl liner, gunite or fiberglass pools and the scrubber brushes typically last 3-5 years. The manufacture recommends cleaning the scrubber brush periodically with a mild dish detergent to prolong the life of the brush.
