My motor is working things are turning but it wont suck all connectors are screwd on tight so no air is leakin. I firce water in and it comrs out filter side so i know theres no.clogs how do i get it to suck the water in

There can be a number of issues that can cause this. Since there is no air leaks and all fittings are secure I would advise to make sure there are no clogs in the impeller, or lines. Also check the pump lid o ring and make sure the lid is secure. There can also be damage to parts within the pump. Please make sure that there is sufficient water in all of the suction lines in front of the pump for there could be an air lock. In the end, if after all of these tests a solution is not found then I'd advise to have licensed pool contractor or technician come to inspect the system

What is the required power source?
Need a temp setup while I get an underground suction leak located and fixed.

Is this pump sufficient for a 12x24 oval above ground ?

That pump/filter combo would be just fine for what you have, unfortunately, it isn't in stock. We do have two similar options that will work for your pool as well. The first one is part number C5501575XEH (Hayward) and part number PNCC0050OE1160 (Pentair).

Pros: quiet, effective
Cons: low capacity
Not for use on cloudy pools. must be cleaned several times a day and cannot be left running. still trying to clean pool for opening. Sand filter could run all day before back wash needed, thus could clean the pool quicker. Once we get the pool clean, hopefully this will work better than sand filter.
