I am wondering how thick (vertically) the gasket is ? last year I bought one somewhere on line ( lost my records) that fits horizontally but seems to be too thick. When the diverter is turned it is very tight and wrinkles the gasket ! The one I have is about 5/16 " thick.

Need a replacement spider gasket for a Praher TM-12_L. Does this get glued in when installed?

Yes this gasket here is the correct spider gasket for the TM-12L valve. You would glue the gasket into the valve and here we have a guide with Video on How to Replace Your Spider Gasket which goes into the gluing of the gasket.

Hi Debbi, The Diverter 1 1/2" (E-12-S1) Gasket will not work on a Jacuzzi Splash Filter.  We would need to know the model valve that you on your Jacuzzi Splash Filter.

Water dripping from waste line…

Written on 8/17/2022 by Guest

Removed cover from my 6 way diverter valve. Found that the diverter gasket was torn in several places. Replaced the gasket and glued it in with some silicone gasket cement. Be sure to clean the area where the gasket mounts before installing the new one. I used a small flat tip screwdriver to clean the area . Replace cover, secure screws but don’t over tighten. The Inyopools diverter gasket fit perfectly on my Pentair TM-12 valve.

Torn Spyder diverter gasket

Written on 6/9/2022 by Guest

1) Remove top of diverter valve.
2) Remove spyder gasket. This proved to be very tedious and time consuming since factory had glued entire gasket seat onto the valve head.
3) After making sure all of prior gasket and adhesive was removed, strategically glue and reinsert new gasket. Apply silicone lubricant to gasket.
4) Replace all additional parts to be replaced. Handle washer, spring, spring washer, 2 O-rings.
5) Reattach valve head.

Ensure all intake/exhaust valves are closed so water won't fill the valve area
Remove 6 screws and nuts that fasten the valve
Remove the valve and ensure the valve retracts when engaging the handle. The gasket probably torn because the cams on the handle are worn, not allowing the valve to retract fully from the gasket, thereby ripping the gasket when the valve is rotated to a different position or mode.
Remove the gasket by pulling it out with your fingers. Remove all residue where the gasket sets. I used a small flathead screwdriver.
Ensure the grooves that retain the gasket are free from water and gasket residue
Coat smooth side of gasket with adhesive and set into place, pressing to ensure the gasket is seated evenly all around.
The adhesive I used required a 24 hour set time before use
Reinstall the valve and open all the appropriate water valves. You may have to prime the filter

leaking from backwash pipe

Written on 8/15/2018 by Guest

Unscrewed top of valve, pulled out old gasket, cleaned plastic channels, added adhesive in corners of valve, placed new gasket into position, replaced top of valve screwed closed waited for twenty- four hours for glue to set, restarted pool filter and checked for leaks. No longer noticed leaking from backwash pipe. INYO provided all the directions to complete the repair. Would recommend replacing the top diverter valve gasket as the same time..

I had small leak in the discharge pipe after I back washed my pool

Written on 6/26/2018 by Guest

I removed the top of the multi-port valve (carefully) and removed water that was still in the bottom of the valve. The gasket had not been changed since the pool was put in (20 years) so the removal of the old gasket took some time. Carefully scraping the old gasket out with a small screwdriver, I removed all the old pieces, replaced it with the new gasket and coated it with generous amounts of silicone based gasket lube. Be sure to use this lube whenever any gasket is replaced. I secured the top of the valve and was back swimming!
